One of the fun things about joining a new church is learning about different missionaries and organizations and the great things they are doing. One of the groups I am learning about is Orphan Grain Train. I have been very impressed by their work and I want to share some of what I have learned in case others have heard the name but don’t know much about their operations either. The video above shows and explains their work.
Locally, Orphan Grain Train operates out of Clemons, IA and this page shows some of the shipments of blankets, hygiene kits, school supplies, stuffed toys, clothing, medical equipment and other things they have helped to gather, package, and distribute both locally and throughout the world. Orphan Grain Train works with local groups in whatever country they are helping to then distribute these humanitarian goods to the poor. The church supports their work, but if you would like to be a part of what they are doing, I am sure they need volunteers and they can, of course, use monetary donations to purchase goods and pay for shipping. You can also be praying for their work and for the people who are desperately in need of food and medical supplies.
